I am not all that surprised Obama won. I am a little nervous for the future of this country and what is going to happen. I am grateful to be a member of the church and have the leaders we have. Over the weekend I read President Uchtdorf's talk "The Infinite Power of Hope." It gave me a calming reassuring feeling that if I continue to do the right things and have hope and faith in Christ then I have no need to fear or have the feeling of despare. I also enjoyed Elder Wirthlins talk "Come What May and Love It." I think this past conference gave members of the church a reminder to not live in fear but to have hope and faith that one day things will be better. Therefore, after reading the words of the prophets I am not as scared and worried as I was a few weeks ago! I encourage everyone to read those talks!!

I will definitely read those. I was thinking the same thing about Obama winning. I'm not surprised but it does scare me.
What a great thought! I think when people live in fear it only make things worse, so I am glad that you are feeling better about things. I will have to read the talks you are talking about. They sound amazing!
