Thank Goodness for the Snow Bank

Since Christmas we haven't seen a lot of snow, actually the majority of the snow had melted. Well today we got a a ton of snow. This morning it really wasn't sticking a whole lot but by this evening it was. Tonight we went to Ryan's grandma's house to visit and eat cake and ice cream with her for her birthday, but getting there was a bit of an adventure! To get to her house we had to go down a REALLY steep hill! (I hate driving in the snow, so Ryan was driving.) The hill is really steep and then it does an S curve near the bottom. Since a lot of the snow had melted and there was rain yesterday and then the snow today it made the hill PURE ICE! We slid all the way down, thankfully there were no other cars until the road started to curve. We could not stop and we were sliding all over. In order to miss the cars sitting near the bottom of the hill we had to stear to the left but because of the ice we couldn't really control it but ended up sliding to the left anyways. We slid right into a snow bank, if that snow bank was not there than we would have slid right through someones picket fence and into their front lawn. Ryan tried to get us out but we were stuck. Four guys came out of the house we were in front of and pushed us out. We were so grateful for them (well at least I am because I would have had to push us out, I can't drive Ryan's car, it's a stick haha). So finally we get to Granny's and had fun trying to get up her little hill to park but Ryan did it. It was so funny but scary at the same time because EVERYONE was struggling on the roads. I can't wait until summer!

Ugh...getting the parking situated at Granny's was a nightmare. Sliding down the hill and getting stuck, how fun! Why isn't Spring here yet? I am done with all of this cold and snow stuff!

Yes it is sad that those snow banks sometimes save us. You hate them but love them at the same time. I wanted to comment on how cute your blog was. You sure changed it up.

Ha Ha that is so funny! Jesse and I had the same experience in Utah when Auri was just about to turn one. We went Trick-or-treating as a surprise to his parents and slid on the road onto the side of the road almost nailing a fence. We got stuck and Jess and his dad got the car out! It was hilarious! Glad to know your okay!
